DESCRIPTION

As a case study was selected road bridge on road N°1 – National Rte 1 in Agadir in Morocco. The bridge is overpassing the river Qued Sous and is connecting the city centre with the area were international airport Al Massira. The bridge is administrated by The Laboratoire Public d’Essais et d’Etudes or “LPEE”, http://www.lpee.ma/en. The bridge consists of two bridges, from structural point of view consists of 4 and 3 precompresed concrete beams, simply supported. It is four span bridge. The visual inspection was made. Near the bridge, Hydrological station is placed, analysed the level of the river under the bridge.

INSPECTION

The inspection of bridge was made on January 20th, 2023. Upper parts of bridge were inspected as well as presstresed concrete beams, abutments, bridge deck, piers, bearings and road structures. From the inspection can be concluded that the condition of bridge is good, the parts with the missing concrete are presents. Bridge draining is not in good condition and cause the degradation of concrete in upper part of bridge.
