DIAMONDS (www.e-diamonds.it), DIAgnostica e MONitoraggio di Strutture (DIAgnostics and MONitoring of Structures), is a spin-off of SAPIENZA University of Rome and it specializes in providing complex and innovative Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) solutions for the reassurance on the level of safety of infrastructure, strategic structures and historical monuments. DIAMONDS is specialized in offering sensor-based analysis using wireless sensor technologies; it has extensive experience in destructive and non-destructive tests, static and dynamic structural characterization, static and dynamic structural monitoring.
DIAMONDS consists of collaboration between academia and industry and also prof. Vincenzo Gattulli is formally involved in this company. Scientific and technological research and professional training are deeply interlaced and make use of the know-how of SAPIENZA professors and the field experience of the DIAMONDS team. The technical staff are experts in inspection and diagnostics of structures through experimental research and consultation and they develop innovative systems for structural monitoring thanks to the electronic know-how of its industrial partner Evoelectronics ltd.
Among the technologies developed in the framework of the IRIS project, digitalization of infrastructures and its integration with test environments are of the utmost importance for this Company to implement tests in both physical and virtual environments and to improve the efficiency of their diagnostic and monitoring methodologies. Furthermore, DIAMONDS will provide for this project monitoring systems and monitoring data to test the procedures developed.
